Narok County

Narok County is located in the South Rift Valley sharing borders with Tanzania on the South and Nakuru County to the North, Bomet County, Nyamira County and Kisii County to the North West, Kajiado County to the East and Migori County to the West. It is named after Enkare Narok, the river flowing through Narok town. It covers an area of 17,950.3Km2.

According to the 2019 Kenya Population and Housing Census the population was 1,157,873 with a population density of 65 people per Km2and an annual growth rate of 3.3%.

The major economic activities include tourism, crop farming, livestock farming and mining.

Narok County has eleven (6) constituencies divided into 30 electoral wards.
